Conner Jones, 11, of Macon, was hunting with his dad on April 3 in Monroe County when he took his first turkey. The gobbler had 1-inch spurs.

 

It’s all smiles for Dalton Carter, of Covington, after Dalton killed this Jasper County buck. The 7-year-old made a 65-yard shot to bring down the 8-point buck.

 

This Butts County 8-pointer didn’t run far 6-year-old Bryson King, of Villa Rica, squeezed off a shot. Bryson took the buck last November.

 

On Nov. 8, three days before his 7th birthday, Lane Johnson, of Zebulon, connected on this Coweta County 7-point buck.

 

Georgia’s coast is full of bonnethead sharks. This one was caught last May by Will Lewis, 5, of St. Simons.

 

Even with his arm in a cast, J.C. Newsome, 7, of Forsyth County, reeled in this 7-lb. bass from a Crawford County pond.
