Bethany Whittemore, 13, filled her buck tags after killing this 10-pointer in Paulding County.

Henson Thomason, 5, of Brooks, with a limit of rainbow trout from Dicks Creek. He was fishing with his dad and grandad on May 2.

Bo Foster, 9, with a Cherokee County tom from April 2.

William Malueg, 15, of Jefferson, with an Oglethorpe County bird taken on April 6 that had a 10 1/2-inch beard.

Blair Tyler, 10, of Bacon County, took this gobbler with her .410 during the youth season. It had a 10-1/2 inch beard and 1 1/4-inch spurs.

Brayton Dixon, 10, of Elberton, got his first gobbler on opening day of youth turkey season. He was hunting in Elbert County.

Kylie Moody, of Milledgeville, with a Burke County bird from April 5. At just 15 years of age, this is the 24th bird she’s killed!

Levi Deal, 12, of Statesboro, shot his first turkey shot in Bulloch County on March 31 in Bulloch County.

Matthew Barfield Jr, 10, of Williamson, took his first turkey on March 22 in Monroe County while hunting with his paw paw, Terrell Sykes.

Steven Fuson, of Bogart, killed this Elbert County tom on his first-ever hunt with his grandad, Wendell Smith. Wendell says, “We heard a gobble at 8 a.m. as geese were flying by the ground blind, and we made contact with yelping. A few minutes later the tom entered the food plot strutting toward the decoys. Steven aimed the crossbow for a straight-on shot but missed left. I reloaded the crossbow, giving the gobbler plenty of opportunity to leave, but Steven made a perfect second shot, and the excitement erupted! The tom weighed 17.4 pounds, had an 11 3/4-inch beard and 1-inch spurs.”

Tori Chandler killed this big gobbler on Easter Sunday in Morgan County with the help of her daddy.

Tripp Vick, of Guyton, shot this Effingham County bird during the youth season. He made a great shot at 27 yards with his .410 shotgun.

Truett Campbell killed this gobbler on March 23 in Lexington at 7:29 a.m. It had 1 1/16-inch spurs and two beards. Unfortunately, it had beard rot, which resulted in a 7-inch beard. It was his third year in a row killing a longbeard on the youth opener.

Ashley and Scarlett Montgomery, of Milledgeville, had a great day of fishing on Lake Juliette in October.

Chase Lashley, 10, went fishing with his dad Chay in Siloam and caught this 8-lb. bass on April 28. Chase has been fishing night and day, and no matter the weather outside, he is gone to a pond, creek or lake, and it finally paid off.

Kaileb Watts, 14, of Duluth, with a pair of bass caught within minutes of each other in a local pond on June 19.

Leni Grace Gill, 4, of Woodbury, with a Meriwether County bass that she caught on Feb. 23.

Parker Kelly, 9, caught this 4.44-lb. bass in a pond in Lamar County on April 26. Parker loves to fish any time he can. He comes straight home from school every day and goes down to his grandparent’s house to fish. They love watching the excitement on his face when he reels in one.

Brock Lashley, 13, of Madison, caught this catfish on the Oconee River whle celebrating his friend Zack’s birthday.

Adelyn Stancil, 7, shot this deer during the youth season in Putnam County. The family called the 8-pointer “Willie.”

Colby Suttles, 9, made a perfect shot on his first deer. The doe was taken on the family farm in Sumter County. Colby was hunting with his sister and father when he took the shot.

Fisher Page, 6, with a Bulloch County crossbow deer. It was his first.

Jaxsun Duke, 13, of Rocky Face, shot his first deer in Whitfield County on Nov. 2.

Rhett Ross, 6, killed this deer in Irwin County on Nov. 16 with a 350 Legend rifle.

Branton Robbins, 10, caught this bass in a private lake in Adairsville.

Eli Hackle, 12, of Swainsboro, with a 6.3-lb. bass.

Jaxon Buice, 9, was beyond excited when he caught this bass from a private pond in Monticello on July 11. It weighed 7 1/2 pounds.

Mason Dunn, 13, with a Worth County bass caught from his pa’s pond on June 25. This was a PB for Mason and was caught with a Whopper Plopper.

Reed Young, 11, of Ocilla, caught this bass in a private pond in Irwin County on Aug. 17.

Tate Kerce, 12, of Rome, with a great bass caught in Lake Weiss in March.

Weston Timbs, 7, of Jenkinsburg, caught this 6-7 largemouth from the Ocmulgee River on Dec. 22 while fishing with his dad. He used a Zebco 33 Micro spincast reel, a bream hook and a bass minnow.

Branton Pickett, 13, of Jacksonville, Fla., with an Echols County deer from Nov. 3. An email to GON said, “Emotions ran high for first-time deer slayer. Around noon on Sunday, we were about to go home to watch the cardiac cats, called the Jacksonville Jaguars, when my husband decided to put dogs out on the track. During the race another hunter saw it was a doe and a buck running together but couldn’t make out what the buck was… we moved onto the spot and Branton patiently waited. The deer split and the buck came out on my son, first shot was a lung shot with his 20-gauge shotgun. He didn’t know whether to cry scream in excitement. He just knew he was proud of himself. This was his first deer, and it happened to me an 8-point buck.”

Lane Hannah, 14, with two does from a Paulding County hunt on Oct. 15.

Tyse Sullivan, 9, of Evans, with an Emaneul County buck from Dec. 21. Tyse shot it with an old 7.62×39 bolt action that Tyse’s dad shot his first deer with and put a great shot on him at 50 yards while hunting from a ground blind with his dad, Marshall Sullivan.

Landon Spence, 14, with an 11-lb. bass caught at his papa’s pond in Allentown on June 25.

Wyatt Davis, 9, of Dahlonega, caught this 27-lb. striped bass in the Etowah River on June 1. He had some help from his dad, Kevin Davis. Wyatt is an all-around country boy and loves Jesus, hunting and fishing!
