Lake Oliver Fishing Report – June 2025

GON Staff | May 28, 2025

Oliver: Level: 0.8 feet below 337. Temp: Mid 80s. Clarity: Clear.

Bass: Tournament angler Tyler Morgan reports, “Some big spotted bass will be schooling toward the Goat Rock Dam. Fish a big walking bait, like a Sexy Dawg, to active fish or work it along deeper banks. Also, look for any mayflies and fish a popper or walker, as well as a creature bait, to bushes with flies. Overhanging bushes are not common, so any you find with flies will hold bass. Sloughs off the river are so shallow that bass tend to stay out of them, so stay on the river. Current definitely helps, as will clouds and rain. With good electronics, you can find where stump flats drop from 5 to 10 feet of water. A jig, shaky head or Carolina rig fished across the drop will catch some good fish when current is moving over the drop.”
