Saltwater Fishing Georgia Reachable Nearshore Reefs

Lots of Georgia anglers have a desire to go saltwater fishing offshore. Unfortunately, because they think offshore means a 40-mile run, or their boat is too small, they stay inshore. There is good news for those with smaller boats — those in the 18- to 20-foot range. This month you can get in some “offshore”…

Cool Weather Trolling For Gator Seatrout

With the temperature on the field in Athens hovering in the mid 90s for a 5:30 GA vs SC nail-biter, it’s hard to imagine water cooling down, but it always does. By Georgia/Florida weekend the boat ramp parking lots up and down the coast will be as packed as the Gator Bowl RV City parking…

GON Goes To The Savannah Snapper Banks

Capt. The meeting will be live via Georgia Wildlife Resources Division’s Facebook page. Altamaha River: Jamie Hodge had a GREAT panfish trip on Wednesday in the backwaters. He had some big shellcracker and bluegill on catalpa worms. The lower river backwaters are where I would spend my time this weekend.    Ogeechee River: Mark Vick and a buddy fished the river Friday after the rains moved through and did well. They caught a bunch of fish and only kept 13 of the biggest redbreast. They…

Wild In The Kitchen: Blackened Redfish With Parmesan Cheese Sauce

Grill at 450 for one minute on each side, and then finish cooking filets on a sheet…
