Lake Jackson Fishing Report – July 2024

By GON Staff | June 26, 2024

Jackson: Level: Full at 528. Temp: Mid 80s. Clarity: Clear. Bass: Tournament angler Willie McMullen reports that the best fishing right now and throughout July will be at night and during the early morning hours before the boat traffic picks up. At daylight, fish a black buzzbait and a Pop-R. Throughout the day, both largemouth and spots will be found on deeper structure and brush. For those fish, throw a deep-diving crankbait, shaky head and an Ol’ Monster Texas rig. The boat traffic makes it tough for a shallow bite.
