Lake Jackson Fishing Report – January 2025

GON Staff | December 25, 2024

Jackson: Level: 0.6 feet above 528. Temp: Mid 50s. Clarity: The main lake is clear, but there’s some stain in the creeks.

Bass: Tournament angler Willie McMullen said, “I had 11.7 in a tournament in mid-December and came in one place outside the money, so fish are biting. If the water is stained, crank rock and cover as much water as you can looking for active fish. Slow down when you come to wood, and work it with a blue/black jig. The entire lake is in play when the water is stained this month. If the water is clear, work jerkbaits on points and fish a green pumpkin/brown jig around docks. Catching will be hit or miss, depending on the rain and water color.”
