Lake Russell Fishing Report November 2012

GON Staff | October 31, 2012

Russell: Level: 8.8 feet below full pool. Temp: 70-72 degrees. Clarity: Clear.

Bass: Tournament angler Kerry Partain reports, “Fishing is good. The spotted bass are really biting with an occasional largemouth mixed in. The fish have transitioned into their fall patterns, and I expect them to really bunch up with the colder weather this month. The drop shot and crankbait seem to be the lure of choice as of late with some occasional topwater fish in the mornings. The baitfish are really on the move now into the creeks and major ditches, so keep your eye on your electronics or look for bait or fish flipping on the surface. As the water temp begin to really drop later in the month, you can slow down and throw a Carolina-rigged Zoom Trick Worm in any brush or rocks and catch some bigger fish.”
