Russell: Level: 0.8 feet below full pool. Temp: 53 degrees. Clarity: Clear.

Bass: Tournament angler Kerry Partain reports that bass in February the Lake Russell bass will start to pull up in preparation for the prespawn. Look for them on main-lake points and pockets. He will be fishing a Bladerunner with a fluke on it and also a Carolina-rigged Trick Worm in natural colors. Also keep a No. 5 or No. 7 Shad Rap handy in February in these same locations.
