Lake Russell Fishing Report – December 2023

GON Staff | November 29, 2023

Russell: Level: Full at 475. Temp: 62-64 degrees. Clarity: Clear.

Bass: Tournament angler Kerry Partain reports, “The bass fishing was good the last couple of weeks, and we have been catching more than 30 fish a day. Most of the fish are grouped up with big schools of bait in some of the bigger coves, and they are feeding several times throughout the day. The best baits have been jigging spoons and Zoom Finesse worms and Z-Drops on drop shots. We have also been catching a few bigger fish on a Chatterbait and a jig in the creeks. As we move into December, the fishing should continue to be good and the same lures will still be very effective, along with the A-rig and Zoom Swimmin’ Super Fluke Juniors.”
