Lake Russell Fishing Report December 2016

GON Staff | November 22, 2016

Russell: Level: 2 feet low. Temp: Mid 60s. Clarity: Clear.

Bass: Tournament angler Kerry Partain reports, “The bass fishing is good most days, especially in the mornings. There are still some quality fish shallow, and they are hitting crankbaits and spinnerbaits around rocks and wood early. Once the sun gets up, you can catch them on jigs and drop shots 15 to 25 feet deep around brush and in the ditches of the creek channel. We are starting to catch some good bass on the Blade Runner tipped with a Zoom Fluke around the ditches, as well. With the cooler temperatures this month, the jigging spoon bite will begin to improve, so look for baitfish on your electronics, and the bass will be nearby.”
