Lake Russell Fishing Report – April 2023

GON Staff | March 29, 2023

Russell: Level: 0.7 feet below 475. Temp: 60-63 degrees. Clarity: Clear.

Bass: Tournament angler Kerry Partain reports, “The weather is finally stable with increasing water temperatures, and the bass are biting. This time of year, there are a couple different patterns working, and each day is different.  The bluebacks are starting to move up so you can catch some bass early on Zoom Super Flukes and swimbaits on jig heads around points and shoals. Once this bite slows down, you can catch bass spawning in the creeks and pockets with a Zoom Lizard. As we continue into April, the fishing should get even better, especially around the full and new moons.”
