Lake Russell Fishing Report – April 2009

GON Staff | March 24, 2009

Russell: Level: 4.3 feet below full pool. Temp: 55 degrees. Clarity: Clear.

Bass:
Fair. Trad Whaley was practicing for the 72 Marine tournament last Friday, and he said the bass had not pulled up yet. “The herring are still out in trees. They’ll be in the spawning pockets soon. The spotted bass will be on the flats and will take a Blade Runner. All the fish right now are 10 to 12 feet deep in the channels close to an edge. They’re about to do it; they have to be. The spots for sure will be on the bed this new moon.”
