Tournament Reports – February 2018

GA BASS Nation on Eufaula; 10-pounder in the Berry's Sinclair; 32-lb. sack at Seminole.

The Georgia BASS Nation High School and Junior Division teams traveled to Lake Eufaula on Jan. 13 as the state’s top anglers hoped for south Georgia warmth, good fishing and some early season points. The High School Division saw 149 teams competing, while 27 Junior Division teams fished Eufaula.

The top High School team was the Mount Bethel Christian duo of Brooks Anderson and David Britt, who had a limit weighing 17.58 pounds that included Big Fish of the tourney, a 7.68-lb. Eufaula pig. Second place went to Newnan High’s Jonathan Jarrard adn Raymond Feckoury with 16.97 pounds. Drew Fegurson and Garrett Mills, of Alexander High, placed third with 16.27 pounds.

Brooks Anderson and David Britt, of Mount Bethel Christian, won the GA BASS Nation High School event on Eufaula.

The Junior Division champs were Bowynn Brown and Luke Griffin, of Bainbridge Middle School, who weighed-in 10.13 pounds. Teams from Bainbridge Middle also placed second and third in the tournament.

The Jan. 20, 2018 Reel Money Team Trail tourney on Lake Seminole was won by Red Heard and Rusty Brogden with a stellar limit weighing 32.86 pounds.

A Lake Sinclair giant! Jimmy Whaley caught this 10.10-lb. largemouth during the Jan. 6, 2018 Berry’s tournament on Sinclair.

Big Fish in the Clarks Hill ABA-AFT 96 Division tournament on Jan. 7, 2018 went to Jonathan Botts with his 9.45-lb. bass. Jonathan placed second overall with 22.36 pounds.

Jimmy Little topped a 50-boat field to win the ABA-AFT Division 72 event on Lake Sinclair Jan. 27, 2018. Jimmy had 13.78 pounds.

Jay Carter’s 6.23-lb. largemouth was Big Fish in the Lake Sinclair ABA-AFT tournament.
