Dive Bomb, Multiple Targets: Larry Rountree, a GON subscriber from Brunswick, sent this great picture from March 14, 2022 at 11:20 a.m. on his farm in Screven County. “Do not know if the hawk was after the fox squirrel or the dove, but they both were on the radar. Later photos did not show any feathers or other evidence,” said Larry.
Universal Language, When A Machine Doesn’t Work… Kick It Hard! Dennis Selby, a GON subscriber from Warner Robins, got this photo on Jan. 20. “How to get the last bite when the feeder is almost empty,” Dennis said.
Big Boy In Nicholson: Tom Busbin submitted this photo taken in Jackson County at 7:30 a.m. in the morning on Aug. 24, 2021.
Got The Shot: GON subscriber Scott Davis, of White, said he’s been trying for years to get a trail-camera photo of a deer as it is shot. “Well, it finally came together on Nov. 27 in Fulton County,” Scott said. “This buck has been on our trail cams in Milton for three years, and his rack has always been a 6-point since we first saw him and has changed very little from year to year. He came in from a creek bottom looking for a doe that had passed a few minutes earlier. You can see the little black dot where my arrow exited just behind his shoulder. He barely got out of sight before he expired.”
