Sign up is still going on for NWTF’s Women In The Outdoors annual Outdoor Workshop Weekend Sept. 14-16 at the Georgia FFA-FCCLA Center (720 FFA FHA Camp Road, Covington, Georgia 30014).

The NWTF Women in the Outdoors Program provides opportunities for women (and girls at least 14 years old) to learn and enjoy outdoor skills in a friendly environment, meet people with similar interests and obtain a greater appreciation of the outdoor world. Our program has been very successful in educating women about our valuable natural resources and wildlife conservation. Through hands-on classes, women gain knowledge, confidence and skills that immediately affect their lives and can be passed down through future generations creating a positive impact on the future. This is Georgia’s ninth statewide event.

Classes offered include: Antler Button Making, Archery, Basic Handguns, Basic Rifle Shooting, Deer Hunting 101, Eco-printing, Fishing, Fly Casting, Fly Tying, Geocache, Gun Cleaning, Hunting in GA-Regulations and Opportunities, Intro to Deer Hunting, Intro to Turkey Hunting, Outdoor Photography, Primitive Fires & Starters, Scrapbooking-Outdoor Projects, Shotgun Sporting Clays, Survival 101 and Woodsmanship.
