DNR To Host Wild Hog Workshops, Trapping Demos

Four events are planned around the state to help educate hunters on ways to deal with nuisance wild hogs.

DNR is hosting four free upcoming Feral Swine Workshop and Trapping Demonstrations. Topics will include wild pig biology, regulations and laws, effective control techniques and more. A question and answer session will follow the presentations.

Speakers include representatives from WRD, UGA, the Georgia Department of Agriculture, the Georgia Association of Conservation Districts and USDA Wildlife Services. Lunch is included at each event.

The dates and locations are as follows, and sign up is required.
Dec. 11: Blackshear, Ga.
Dec. 18: Dawsonville, Ga.
Jan. 7: Quitman, Ga.
Jan. 29: Hawkinsville, Ga.
