Bring the whole family for a day of fun while honoring dad

Jordan Davis | June 19, 2015

Cabela’s in Acworth is celebrating it’s first Father’s Day event this Saturday, June 20 from 10 a.m.-2 p.m. At no cost, families can join in on fun that will include activities to make a special gift for dad.

A BB gun range, face painting, water guns, camp cooking, camping games, kids fishing games, SafeArchery Range and a kids inflatable tent are just some of the activities that will be available for participants.

Kids should wear whatever may be comfortable and be ready to play.

Pettit Preserve will be there. They have interactive activities that are a big hit with children. Kids will also be able to make paracord keychains to give dad as a gift for Father’s Day. Pre-made paracord bracelets will be available to anyone who is short on time and needs a gift idea. They can give dad the gift of safety.

For anyone looking for real instruction on firearms, Defensive Specialties will be there, and if enough participants are interested, they will do a seminar. The NRA certified instructors will be instructing on how to pick a gun at 11 a.m., how to stay safe with a firearm at 12:30 p.m., and how often to clean your firearm at 2 p.m.

Join Cabela’s in Acworth in honoring dad this weekend with fun for everyone. Cabela’s believes in family!
