What do you get when you cross a toad and a turkey? You get the coolest country concert series and the longest tradition for a non-stop, three-day outdoor extravaganza. It’s time again for the Busch’s Country Goes Huntin’ (BCGH) event, where country artists are paired with hunting-industry personalities to hunt turkeys and do a little guitar picking.
BCGH is hosted by country singer/songwriter Rhett Akins and Sam Klement, co-owner of Huntin’ Is Good! Participants will chase gobblers all over southeast Alabama, north Florida and southwest Georgia.
This year’s CGH event will partner with the Toadlick Music Festival, a three-day outdoor concert that will be taking place March 22-24 at the National Peanut Festival Fairgrounds in Dothan, Ala. CGH artists will perform at the fairgrounds at 2 p.m. on Sunday, March 25 for an acoustic jam that will cap off an action-packed weekend full of hunting and country music. Many of the artists hunting at the BCGH event will also be performing at the Toadlick Music Festival, helping combine the two events. During the three-day Toadlick event, footage from the artists’ turkey hunts will be played on the JumboTron.
“Don’t be surprised if you’re at Toadlick and you look beside you and see one of your favorite Outdoor TV hosts rocking to one of the Toadlick artists,” said Sam.
Familiar names like Daryle Singletary, Andy Griggs and Colton James will be on hand at Toadlick and the BCGH event. For a full list of artists/hunting professionals, check out <www.countrygoeshuntin.com>.
Concert tickets can be purchased online at <www.toadlick.com>. You can buy a Toadlick ticket, a combination Toadlick/BCGH or simply a Sunday’s BCGH ticket. Also, tickets will be sold at the Toadlick concert itself.
