Redfish At The Cumberland Jetties

October has to be one of my most favorite times of the year. With cooler temperatures, college football and hunting season upon us, it just doesn’t get better in the Peach State… or does it? I failed to mention my favorite species to chase this month. Whether you call them spots, reds, spottail bass or…

Saltwater Community Presses Feds For Fishing Relief

Recent congressional steps were taken that could eventually bring some relaxed seasons and better bag limits for Georgia’s recreational offshore anglers. The goal would be to allow more flexibility to the federal folks when setting recreational seasons and bag limits for species like red snapper, grouper and cobia. BreamBuster Technique For Sheepshead

Anyone who knows me is aware of my addiction for catching fish on a BreamBuster pole. For me there is no better fight than with a simple pole and line combination. So, when I heard of how Dereck DeLoach, of Waycross, uses his BreamBuster to boat sheepshead by the cooler fulls, I knew I had…

It pulled the scales down to just shy of 13-lbs., 15-ozs., and measured 31 inches long. St. Marys River: The Temple Landing, recently rebuilt by the GA Wildlife Resources Division, is scheduled to reopen by the time you read this. The weather didn’t always cooperate, but they were able to do a great job with the rebuild. The new facilities will serve boaters and anglers well for decades to come. Okefenokee Swamp: Buck Johnson fished the east side on Friday and did well on warmouth. He pitched chartreuse pearl artificials on Zombi Eye jig heads…
