Map To Crooked River Trout And Redfish

November is a magical time. Cool winds begin to blow, temperatures drop, and a table full of Thanksgiving food is just days away. For Joe Corley, of Waycross, November brings an entirely different agenda. While most outdoorsmen are trying to down a big buck, or readying decoys for the upcoming duck season, Joe is hitching…

Redfish At The Cumberland Jetties

October has to be one of my most favorite times of the year. With cooler temperatures, college football and hunting season upon us, it just doesn’t get better in the Peach State… or does it? I failed to mention my favorite species to chase this month. Whether you call them spots, reds, spottail bass or…

Saltwater Community Presses Feds For Fishing Relief

Recent congressional steps were taken that could eventually bring some relaxed seasons and better bag limits for Georgia’s recreational offshore anglers. The goal would be to allow more flexibility to the federal folks when setting recreational seasons and bag limits for species like red snapper, grouper and cobia. They fooled 18 bass up to about 3 pounds. A couple hit buzzbaits, but the vast majority were caught by pitching plastic creature baits to cover. Okefenokee Swamp: Very few folks are fishing the Swamp. The main bite right now is bowfin, but you can catch fliers and pickerel if you know how to target them. Catfishing on the…
