Lake Russell Fishing Report – May 2022

GON Staff | April 28, 2022

Russell: Level: 0.2 feet above 475. Temp: 65-70 degrees. Clarity: Clear.

Bass: Tournament angler Kerry Partain reports, “The bass fishing has been good now that the weather has warmed back up. The blueback spawn is in full swing, so first thing in the morning we are throwing a Zoom Super Fluke and topwater on main-lake points and shoals. There are still a ton of fish up shallow spawning or feeding on threadfin shad, and we have been catching them on crankbaits, spinnerbaits and a Texas-rigged Zoom Speed Worm.”
