Lake Russell Fishing Report – May 2021

GON Staff | April 29, 2021

Russell: Level: Full pool. Temp: Mid 60s. Clarity: Mostly clear with stain in the creeks.

Bass: Tournament angler Kerry Partain reports, “With the weather all over the board, there are bass in prespawn, spawn and postspawn. This time of year you can fish several different patterns, so it’s a great time to use what you like throwing best and have fun. With the warmer days ahead, the blueback and shad spawn will be in full swing, so a topwater and a Zoom Super Fluke are always good. As we get into May, this will just get better.”
