Lake Russell Fishing Report – June 2021

GON Staff | May 27, 2021

Russell: Level: Full pool. Temp: 72-76 degrees. Clarity: Clear.

Bass: Tournament angler Kerry Partain reports, “The bass fishing has been as crazy as the weather, but now that it has warmed up, hopefully the fishing will, too. We have been still catching bass on several different patterns and anywhere from 2 to 15 feet deep. Some mornings there is still some baitfish spawning, and we have been catching them on crankbaits, swim jigs, topwater and a Zoom Super Fluke.  Now that the water has warmed up and stabilized, there are a good many bass on secondary points and shoals, and this should continue through June. As the water continues to warm this month, the bass will begin to migrate more to the main-lake points, humps and timber.”
