Lake Russell Fishing Report – July 2022

GON Staff | June 30, 2022

Russell: Level: 0.9 below 475. Temp: 83-88 degrees. Clarity: Clear.

Bass: Tournament angler Kerry Partain reports, “The bass fishing has been good the last few weeks and should continue in July, especially late in the evening and at night. Most of the fish have made the summer transition and are out deep on points, humps and channel breaks. The main baits I use for these areas are Texas-rigged Zoom Ole Monster worms, a drop-shot finesse worm and a jig. If you see a lot of shad and bass activity, you can catch a few on deep-diving crankbaits and a spinnerbait.”
