Lake Blackshear Fishing Report – September 2008

GON Staff | August 26, 2008

Blackshear: Level: Full pool. Temp: Mid to upper 80s. Clarity: Clear.

Bass: Tournament angler Clint Brownlee recommends the slow approach with a Carolina rig until the water temperature drops. “Your best bet would be fishing main-lake docks near the creek channel in 8 to 12 feet of water with a Carolina rig,” said Clint. “The bite seems to be real slow as of late. Jimmy Sharp, who is a good friend that I fish with often, was out on the lake over the weekend, (mid August) however, and caught several nice bass in the 3- to 5-lb. range on a Carolina rig.”
