A great thing about crossbows is they get more young folks in the woods earlier. Just ask Lillie Webster, 9, of Sparta, who shot this Hancock County doe.

This unique white-faced buck was a first-deer trophy for Molly Dell, of Moultrie, on Nov. 24. Molly had just turned 9 before killing the Cook County 8-pointer.

Way to ring in the 2018 Youth Season for Reagan Reynolds, 7, of Watkinsville. She busted these mature toms in Elbert County.

What a hawg! Wyatt Sims, of Eatonton, said the Jasper County bass weighed 9 1/2 pounds and bit a red-glitter rubber worm.

A local family pond is helping provide meat for the family fish fry. Yates Pye, 7, of Vidalia, caught this big bluegill April 6.

A three-bearded turkey for a first bird is a pretty impressive start for Brody Cash Tanner, 10, of Marietta. He killed the tom on March 24 in Jones County.
