Worms and bobbers weren’t doing it for Ava Grace Archer, 8, of Milledgeville. She went to working a purple/blue ribbontail worm, which just happened to match her new purple fishing pole that she got that morning. She ended up catching this nice bass during an adult/child fishing tournament put on by Lake Country Outdoor Ministries.

Jackson Austin, of Newnan, caught this big bass on April 28 while fishing a pond in Clayton County.

Bentley Chapman, 10, caught this bass in Walker County in a neighbor’s pond. Bentley mows grass in exchange to fish in the pond.

Eight-year-old Cain Ellenberg with his personal best to date. The fish was caught in a private pond in Lowndes County on June 11. Cain says he is going to be like Bill Dance one day. This young man eats and breathes fishing. He has a passion for it that not many kids his age have.

Brayton Dixon, 9, of Elberton, had a good afternoon fishing on Clarks Hill with his dad Brent and Kerry Partain, a bass-tournament angler and regular contributor to GON Fishing Reports.

Allison Pack’s first crappie is a nice one! The 12-year-old from Chatsworth caught this beauty in a local pond.

Brady Padgett, 9, of Athens, killed his first deer, this 8-point buck, on Nov. 19 in Oglethorpe County.

Easton Jennings, 12, of Dacula, was hunting with his grandfather in Greene County on Nov. 19 and made an excellent shot at 35 yards. The 5-point was Easton’s first deer.

Jaxson Hall, 7, of Winder, harvested his first deer on Nov. 25 in Taliaferro County while hunting with his dad.

Mattie Weathers, 11, of Hartwell, killed her first deer, a 3-point buck, with a .223 in Elbert County on Jan. 2.

Norah Carlton, 9, of Dawson, with her first deer, a 4-pointer killed on Nov. 22 in Terrell County.

Rhett Ross, 5, killed this sow on March 16 in Irwin County with a 350 Legend.

Fin Bessent, 5, of Brunswick, with his first rabbit. He shot it in Appling County.

Elijah Boulineau, 10, of Sandersville, with some success at the Washington County Young Sportsman Club’s annual public-fishing event.

Dawson Morrow, 10, of Kingston, after a great morning hunt in Floyd County on Nov. 26.

Andrew Baker, 14, caught this bass in a private lake in Silver Creek. He had to trek through briars, fire ants and barbed wire, but he said it was worth it. He had the most success with a blue-and-black plastic worm.

Taylon Totherow was 7 when he caught this 7 1/2-lb. bass while fishing with a little bream he had caught earlier that day. He caught the bream and said, “I’m going to catch a big bass on this.” Well he did it. Great job, buddy. Taylon absolutely loves to fish, and he’s pretty good at it, also.

Cooper Evans, 12, caught and released his PB from a private pond in Cherokee County. He caught the fish using a watermelon-red Senko.

Knox McBee, 5, of Calhoun, caught his first nice-sized bass in an Armuchee private pond.

Emmett Lawhon, 12, of Martinez, with a buck taken in Tift County. This was his first buck.

Jackson Ghorley, of Canton, smoked this Hancock County buck using a handmade grunt call.

Rhett Long, 12, of Ludowici, killed his first turkey in Long County on March 24.

Andie Foles was hunting in Coweta County when she rolled her first turkey. She decided to sleep in opening morning, so her midday hunt lasted about 15 minutes from the time her and Dad closed the truck doors.

Beau Black, 6, of Covington, with a Lake Jackson lineside from April 27.

Kason Spivey, 10, of Thomasville, caught his first hybrid on May 29 in Lake Hartwell.

Walker Thomas, 11, of Blairsville, with a great 8-point from opening day of the youth season in Union County.

Taylor Boone, of Monroe, shot her first deer this year in Oconee County.

After a great morning and seeing 12 deer, Hudson Lee, 7, of Cumming, got this 6-pointer while hunting with his grandpa in Oglethorpe County.

Reagan Legg, 9, with a 1-lb. bream caught from a private pond in Meansville.

Reid Desimone, 5, of Ludowici, caught this 24-inch bass in the pond behind his home on June 19.

Lakelyn Chevi Padgett, 7, with her first bass. It weighed 4 pounds and was caught in a private lake in Pike County.

Hawk Fletcher, 13, of Jenkinsburg, caught his first largemouth bass in a private pond at Long Branch Farm in Henry County.

Bryton Todd Rowland, 11, of Meeks, caught this 9-lb. bass at his grandparent’s family pond in Kite. Bryton is an avid hunter/fisherman who spends all his time outdoors. He hopes to grow up one day to become a hunting guide and to teach young children how to hunt and fish.

Rhett Banks, 9, of Brooks, with a Fayette County crossbow buck from Sept. 17 that scores about 125 inches.

Raylin Green, 10, with her first deer taken in Wilkinson County on Dec. 24. She has been hunting with her dad since she was 5 years old.

Brother-and-sister Luke, 5, and Emma Puckett, 6, were hunting with their dad in Jackson County on Oct. 22 when Luke killed this buck.

Kylie Parnell, 11, of Winder, shot her first buck, a 4-pointer, in Wilkes County on Jan. 7.

Jeremy Tyson, of East Dublin, killed his first two deer on Oct. 14. The buck was taken at 120 yards, and Jeremy made a great shot.

Boone Norman, 7, of Mansfield, killed this gobbler on the Clybel WMA youth hunt on April 7.

Asher Clark, 11, with a late-season Brooks County gobbler from May 13. The big tom had a 14 1/16-inch beard and 1 5/16-inch and 1 6/16-inch spurs.

Case and Jasper Waldrop, of Bremen, with some trout caught in Pumpkinvine Creek in Paulding County.
