Mail Carriers Who Like To Hunt & Fish Also Like GON

Dear GON,

While sitting here eating my first of many Little Debbie Christmas Tree Cakes, I noticed my letter carrier coming down the road. Nothing unusual, as it’s time for the mail to run. Then he pulled into the driveway. Still nothing unusual. The holidays are coming up, and I figured someone ordered a gift for someone.

He gets out smiling, holding what I thought was my next GON issue. Nope. He’s retiring. Said he was cleaning out his jeep and found my May issue under the seat.

I know as a fisherman and a GON reader, you’ll enjoy your retirement, Jim. You were a great letter carrier for the central Conyers people.

Letter From Former Shoot-Out Contestant

Dear GON,

I would like to say a huge thank you to the GON staff for organizing and running a flawless Shoot-Out in Madison in September.

After a rocky practice round, I was pretty nervous about my chances and was humbled by the skill of the other shooters in the competition. By making it to the fifth round, my head remained high on the drive home and will be taking home some great memories. No complaints or excuses. I simply had a small break in concentration on my miss at the egg at 30 feet.

Hopefully one day I will be fortunate enough to compete again. Thank you to GON for all y’all do.

Take care, and I will see you at the Truck-Buck scoring after the season is over this year.
