A Ben Hill county-record buck got him to the Shoot-Out, and Logan Crosson headed home to Tifton in a new pickup truck.

A Truck-Buck Shoot-Out grand prize truck, a loaded Trail Boss Package pickup from John Megel Chevrolet, is now being driven by a 19-year-old college student from Tifton.

Logan Crosson didn’t miss a shot, and that’s what it takes to earn the truck in GON’s Truck-Buck Shoot-Out. The Shoot-Out is the culmination of our Truck-Buck contest, where 17 weekly winners and four wildcard winners from last deer season compete in a pellet-rifle competition to determine who drives home in the truck.

Logan Crosson receives the keys to his new Trail Boss Package Chevy truck from Shawn Boyd, the general manager of John Megel Chevrolet.

All of the deer hunters in the Truck-Buck Shoot-Out were already big winners. The five bow season weekly winners earned Mathews bows, and the 12 winners during gun season earned Browning X-Bolt Stalker rifles. That is 17 weekly prizes valued at more than $1,100 each! Plus, the Week 6 winner during the primitive-weapons/youth season won a CVA Paramount muzzleloader, also valued at more than $1,000. Weekly winners also earned Shoot-Out shirts from Realtree, HSS safety harnesses from Hunter Safety Systems.

The four wildcard qualifiers won $250 gift cards from AgriSupply, knives from Havalon, safety harnesses from HSS, products from 4S Advanced Wildlife Solutions, along with their Realtree shirts.

The kids are always crowd favorites during the Shoot-Out. Pictured here are Griffin Ganas (above), who is 8 years old, and Riles Riner (below), who just turned 9 in July.

T-Bone In The Shoot-Out!

What a special treat it was to have Travis T-Bone Turner in this year’s Truck-Buck Shoot-Out!

We remember Travis from way back when he was the best young bow-tech around, attracting top archers to Hogansville to get their bows set up. These days, T-Bone is a bone fide star in the hunting industry as co-host of Michael Waddell’s Bone Collector TV show. If you had the chance to speak to Travis at the Ag-Pro Outdoor Blast, you met the most gracious, down-home, genuine good guy you’ve ever seen on TV. And he dang near won the truck!

Another year of Truck-Buck begins on opening day of Georgia’s bow season on Sept. 11. For the 2021-2022 big-buck contest, new sponsors have come on board, including Ranew Outdoor Equipment who are putting up a Firminator to the second-best shot in the 2022 Shoot-Out. Also, Rugged Road Outdoors is providing 30-Can Soft Coolers to the Wildcard winners, and Savage Arms is now our gun sponsor. Click here for more information on this year’s Truck-Buck Contest.

Erinn Lowe won the Ladies Wildcard spot in the Shoot-Out with a record-class bow-buck from Early County.

Soon after winning the truck, Logan was doing a podcast from one of the Outdoor Blast booths.
