Ag-Pro Outdoor Blast Includes GON Kids Fun Zone

GON Staff | May 24, 2019

Things are tightening up around the GON office as our staff puts the final touches on what we expect to be the best-ever Ag-Pro GON Outdoor Blast at the Infinite Energy Center. This year’s hunting show will take place July 26-28.

As always, the Ag-Pro GON Outdoor Blast will feature hundreds of hunting and fishing vendors offering products and services, and expect to find some great deals as we bring back Blast Bargains for 2019. We’ll be showcasing those next month in GON and also at www.gon.com.

Also, at the show will be the Wall of Fame, Georgia’s Greatest Whitetails, Seminar Saturday, the Georgia State Duck Calling Contest, demonstrations with Snakes Alive and the Georgia Falconry Association. As always,  GON’s Youth Big-Buck Contest and the Truck-Buck Shoot-Outs will be held during the Blast.

Visit The GON Kids Fun Zone

Yeah, we have kids, too. We get it. We know that attending a hunting trade show with kids can turn into a little bit of a headache, especially if you’re waiting that extra hour to try and win the next gun in the Gun-an-Hour-Giveaway. That’s why we’ve created the GON Kids Fun Zone. It’s conveniently located upstairs on by the stairwell adjacent to the big glass windows.

It’s free. Here are just some of the things that will offered:

• Fishing simulator
• Cornhole
• Daisy BB range
• S.A.F.E. Archery Hoverball
• Shooting gallery
• Photo booth
• Face painting

While you’re spending your day gearing up for the 2019-20 hunting season, come upstairs to the GON Kids Fun Zone. Let your kids enjoy some time playing, doing what they love to do. Let them have their fix, and it’ll likely allow you to stay a little longer and have another crack at that Gun-an-Hour-Giveaway.

Buck Scoring At Outdoor Blast

Here’s an easy chance to get an official measurement for your Georgia buck that qualifies it for County-by-County and other official records. Bring the rack or mount Friday or Saturday to the Outdoor Blast. We’ll have official Boone & Crockett scorers on hand who will be scoring for GON’s Triple Digit WMA Bucks and County-by-County lists.

If you’re having your buck scored for GON’s Triple-Digit WMA Bucks list, bucks must net 100 inches to make the records. County-by-County gun-kills must net 120 inches; bow-kills must net 100 inches.

Drop-off and pick-up information is below.

Friday, July 26: Drop-off time is 1 p.m. to 6 p.m.
Saturday July 27: Drop-off is from 9 a.m. to 2:30 p.m.

We will not be measuring deer on Saturday evening or Sunday.

Racks may be picked up as soon as they are measured and scores tallied.
