GON 2018 Hunting Land Special

Each summer, hunters begin to daydream about where they’ll be hunting in the fall. At the same time, clubs and landowners are busy making sure their lands will be hunted in the fall. For several decades, GON has distributed its annual Hunting Land Special in the July issue, hoping hunters, hunting clubs and landowners can use the information on these pages to get together and tie up some of the loose ends.

A family friendly hunting club can make for a great environment to raise up a child. Here’s Wesley Ward, of Rincon, with his first buck, which he killed on Oct. 27 on a hunting lease in Sylvania.

Over the past few years, you’ve noticed the number of free ads dwindling on the pages of GON’s Hunting Land Special. There’s certainly no fewer hunters out there trying to find a place to hunt.

However, the majority of hunters have turned to the Internet to meet their hunting needs. More specifically, GON users are enjoying the free Classifieds section of www.gon.com. Check those out online. You’ll find specific categories for your hunting land needs.
