The Lanier Striper Club has joined forces with the North Georgia Striper Club in an effort to boost participation in a SEEDS striper-fishing day on Lake Lanier. In last month’s issue of GON, we reported that a striper day for a dozen kids would be possible. Now, with help from the Lanier Striper Club, it looks like we’re going to be able to put more than 20 kids and their accompanying adult in a striper boat!

Members of these two clubs will be providing the boats, bait, tackle and knowledge required to introduce SEEDS members to fishing for one of the largest freshwater fish found in Georgia, the striped bass.

This kids’-fishing day will be held on Saturday, October 6, at Van Pugh Park on Lake Lanier. Participants will be selected via a random drawing that will be held at the GONetwork headquarters on September 14.

Participants must be active SEEDS members between the ages of 9 and 17. Kids who are not current SEEDS members may include a $10 check with the coupon below and be eligible for the striper trip.

To apply for this exciting day on the water, complete the coupon below and mail it to SEEDS Striper Trip, 4331 Seven Islands Rd., Madison, GA 30650.
