Lake Jackson Fishing Report February 2012

GON Staff | February 1, 2012

Jackson: Level: 6.6 feet below full pool. Temp: 50-54 degrees. Clarity: Finally getting some stain after recent rains.

Bass: Tournament pro Aaron Batson reports, “Due to clearer-than-normal water, the fish have been a bit deeper than normal winters. Limits have been easily caught on rock and red-clay points with a 1/4-oz, Net Boy Bait screwball head with Zoom Finesse worm. Dip the bait in JJ’s Magic for a lot more bites. It really seems to help with the spots, especially. Later this month, fish will begin to stage on wood structure like stumps and dock posts. Slow-rolled Ol Nelle spinnerbaits near heavy cover can draw a big reaction bite.”
