Lake Eufaula Fishing Report – November 2024
GON Staff | October 30, 2024
Eufaula: Level: Full at 188. Temp: 72 degrees. Clarity: Perfect stain.
Bass: Capt. Sam Williams, of Hawks Fishing Guide Service, reports, “The bass are still transitioning to their winter pattern. The warmer-than-normal fall temperatures have held them back a little. The first drops on the river ledge is where a lot of them are being caught. Shaky heads with Trick Worms in blue/black are a great choice. Where you find trashpiles in the deeper water, fish lipless crankbaits and lipped cranks geared to the depth of where the bass are also working. Where you find shore cover and pads, the spinnerbaits and frogs are getting some attention.”
Multiple Species: Capt. Sam Williams, of Hawks Fishing Guide Service, reports, “The crappie are still holding on the natural and man-made structure in 10 to 20 feet of water. Minnows and minnow-tipped jigs are getting a good mess for the supper table. Bluegill are eating wigglers and crickets on the shoreline cover and overhangs. Catfish are always hungry and you can use nightcrawlers on the bottom in the creeks from a boat or the bank. If you are fishing from a boat, jugs are always fun. Bait them with shad or cutbait. The Chattahoochee River catfish are the best eating cats in the world. Hunting season is in on both sides of the river, so you have less boat traffic on the water. It is a great time with the cooler weather to get your kids and grandkids in the outdoors hunting or fishing and enjoy what God has provided for us. What you teach them now will last for generations. Pray for all our heroes in uniform and their families as they step out to keep us safe. Pray for each other. God commands us to love our neighbor as we love ourselves.”
