Lake Chatuge Fishing Report November 2016

GON Staff | October 26, 2016

Chatuge: Level: 7.5 feet low. Temp: 72-74 degrees. Clarity: Clear.

Bass: Guide Eric Welch reports, “The lake has only dropped about a foot since last month, but it’s still gone down a lot quicker then normal. The fish are scattered along with the baitfish. The topwater bite has slowed down a little, but I’m still keeping a Strike King Sexy Dog tied on for those long casts. The drop-shot bite with a 4.5-inch Roboworm in morning dawn around docks has been good, along with a 3/8-oz. pb & j jig. There has also been some fish out on the offshore structure. I’ve been targeting them with a Zoom Trick Worm on a shaky head. If you can find any laydowns, throw a Zoom Fluke or a weightless Senko around it. The fishing should pick up and get better as the water temp drops.”
