Big Bear In Hancock County: “I got these pictures of a 300-lb.-plus black bear on trail camera in September, 2015 in Hancock County,” said GON subscriber Kevin Maginn, of Suwanee. “He showed up on the trail camera three different times, all about five days apart. The only thing I can say is that I hope he never shows back up, as the deer hunting in that spot was the worst it ever was last season. Until the bear came around, I had great bucks on that trail camera.”

Going To Get Her Nails Done: This Newton County doe has “elf hooves.” G.H. Couch, of Mansfield, said his son Wes found several trail-cam pics of this doe with elongated hooves. This condition, known as “foundering,” is uncommon but it does occur with deer and horses.

Always That One Friend Who Just Has To Show Everyone Up: “Three bachelors, one in formal wear, out for a late summer afternoon stroll,” is how GON subscriber Frank Hooper described this Hall County picture. Frank said these bucks were caught on camera in his aunt’s Gainesville backyard at 4 p.m. on Sept. 4.

More Yotes Than Ever? Keith Karr sent this picture and wrote: “I live in Carrollton and have property in both Heard and Meriwether counties. I’ve got more coyote pictures than ever before on both properties. Lots of bobcat pictures, too.” Keith said this picture of a coyote passing by with the remains of a fawn in its mouth was taken in southwest Meriwether County on July 27 at 9:35 a.m.
