Burke County Still Has Some Quail: “Something you don’t see much of anymore… quail on a feeder,” said GON member Frank Bevins, of Waynesboro. He got this trail-camera photo Aug. 20.

Encore! Encore! GON member Tim J. Butler, of Madison, got this trail-camera picture on his hunting property in Talbot County. “This Talbot County turkey performs for the camera. Take a bow bird!” said Tim.

“You Just Wait Until These Antlers Get Hard!” This velvet buck looks to be pretty brutal with just the hooves. Gordon McFarland got the picture last May in a Putnam County food plot.

Coyote Conflicted: OK, so the coyotes are eating your deer, turkey and rabbits, but the wild hogs are tearing up your food plots and eating all your deer feed. Maybe you pull for the coyote, but hope it chokes on a pork rib? “The coyote didn’t catch the pig for dinner because it showed up on a later picture,” said Sherri Fuentes, of Cumming, who’s rooting for the rooter. “Sure wish they would catch and eat them!” Sherri said. She got this picture on their Jones County hunting property.
