Bobcat Having Tender Pork For Dinner: Not sure which is more impressive… this Randolph County trail-camera shot of a bobcat with a small wild pig, or that the image was submitted by a GON subscriber who lives in Torrey, Utah. Duane Platt’s camera caught this action on Dec. 16, including a previous picture of the piglet alive and well.
Got Him… And Got It On Camera: Lillie Webster shot a 12-point buck with her crossbow. Her dad Will Webster, of Sparta, said, “Days later I checked the camera and couldn’t believe we got a picture of her shot. The shot was a little high and back, but it did the trick.” Lillie and her Hancock County buck placed second for that week in the GON Youth Big-Buck Contest.
Tough Neighborhood: This Cobb County buck is missing most of an ear. Phil Dockery, of Powder Springs, got the image last June 29. “Not sure if he was the aggressor or victim,” said Phil. “Also appears to be a piebald,” he added.
Landing With The Air Brakes Deployed: Bobby Ward, a GON subscriber from Wesley Chapel, Fla., got this trail-camera picture of a Stewart County turkey using the wing flaps as it makes a landing. The picture was taken on Nov. 7.
