Highlights From Nature: Tim Schrenker, of Marianna, Fla., hunts in Quitman County. “This is a picture my trail cam got at just the right moment,” Tim said. “It’s a red-tailed hawk in flight going after a large grasshopper.”

Bear In The Backyard: “Never know what’s lurking around the Georgia woods these days,” said Matt Thompson. “I’ve had my farm here in Jasper County near Monticello for over 20 years. Never thought I would get pictures of a mature black bear.”

Just So You Know… This coyote got up close and personal to the camera with this display—rubbing it in a bit? In September, Collin Walls checked on a Forsyth County trail camera that had been out since last season. This photo was captured on Dec. 28, 2021.

Up, Up And Away! These Stewart County deer look like they were training to pull Santa’s sleigh. Bobby Ward, of Wesley Chapel, sent this image from his Stewart County property.

True Love: Larry Darnell, a GON subscriber from Junction City, got this image in Talbot County on Aug. 6. No word on whether they reconnected during the rut.
