“I Own This Feeder!” GON member Mike Simpson sent this picture captured on Oct. 19 in Mitchell County. “I’ve gotten quite a kick out of watching this coon bow up at seven different deer of this caliber in different pictures. He has staked his claim to this feeder and stands ready to take on all comers,” said Mike.
A Nature In Action Series: Matthew Burks, of Preston, got this series of pictures in Webster County. “Here are some trail-cam pics I got Nov. 5 of a bobcat and squirrel around one of my feeders on a powerline,” said Matthew. The bobcat chased the squirrel up the pole (below photo), and then later on was caught on camera with a squirrel in its mouth (final photo).
A Little Pre-Rut Pushing Match: These Harris County bucks knew what was coming in a few weeks, and they needed to settle a few things in mid October before a hot doe came around. GON member Andrew Cornell, of Jasper, sent the photo.
