Pictures Or It Didn’t Happen… It Happened! Here’s a great trail-cam photo—and a great caption—submitted by GON member Ashley Osterholt, of Villa Rica. This picture of a bobcat with a freshly caught fawn is from their hunting land in Chattahoochee County. “The feeder on the tree goes off four minutes after this picture was taken,” Ashley said. “The camera also got a picture of the bobcat the next day at the same time, hunting the feeder.” This picture was taken at 7:26 a.m. on Oct. 29.
What Do We Have Here? That right side antler might not impress the does during the rut, but it sure is interesting to us deer hunters! GON member Derek Ritchie got this picture in his backyard in south Hall County during the summer of 2019.
Hawg Wild In Glascock County: How high does a feeder have to be? That was the question for GON member Derrick ‘Unyun’ Norton, of Bogart. This determined hog was caught on camera at Hard Times Hunting Club near Edge Hill, Ga.
Canton Bears Smarter Than Average? Did you know there were bears in Cherokee County in Canton? Neither did GON member Brian Gordon until last this summer. “Noticed a lot of corn missing, so I checked my camera on Aug. 15, and at 5:22 p.m., there he was. A first for my property in Canton in Cherokee County,” Brian said. “He was spinning the feeder with his paw getting all the corn he wanted. Smart bear.”
