Not Quite Bear Proof: Greg Hardy, of Marietta, got several photos of these bears, plus another big male, getting into a feeder at their cabin in Gilmer County. “There is a mother and three cubs and a large male that is about 6 feet tall. They were taken at various times of the day around Sept. 17,” Greg said.

Early Morning Sparring: GON Hunt Advisor Greg Grimes, of Ball Ground, sent this shot of some pre-rut action in north Fulton County that was captured on trail cam just before daylight on Oct. 17.

BOO! A Halloween Special: Brad Reynolds gets some interesting pictures on a trail cam set up in his backyard in Vinings in Cobb County, but a bat just before Halloween last month was unexpected. “Absolutely incredible what goes on back there when I’m sleeping,” Brad said.

In Richmond County, the Bucks Settle Things Before Dark: Robert Flanders, of Hephzibah, got this picture last Oct. 8 at 6:46 p.m. “The buck on the right is an 8-pointer, and the buck on the left is a 4-pointer that was later killed by another club member. They are in a food plot of clover, rye and other grasses that was planted in early September,” Robert said.
