On The Run In Southeast Georgia: “Photo is a great example of why this species is called the white-tailed deer,” said Mike Harrell, of Jesup. Mike got the photo in Wayne County on Nov. 23 at 1:15 p.m.

Beam Me Up Scotty: The crew of the Enterprise is going to be surprised when it isn’t Capt. Kirk appearing in the teleport device. Greg Nail, of Hazlehurst, got this photo on his hunting property in Laurens County.

‘Squnk’ Sighting: There’s no mistaking this Gilmer County squirrel that has a white ‘skunk’ stripe down its back. Linda Swain, of Ellijay, got the trail-camera picture in late February at their deer feeder.

Worth A Shot: It’s way early (Sept. 9), and this little buck probably isn’t what this doe had in mind. Chuck Partain, of Snellville, got the picture in Dodge County.

Score! Pork Chop For The Vulture: Wayne Cain, of Dublin, put some food scraps out for a hunting camp dog at his Wilkinson County land, and his trail camera caught this buzzard flying off with a pork chop.

Good Sign For Mountain Turkeys: Difficult to see them all, but there are 15 turkey poults in this photo. “It is interesting that all 15 baby turkeys have survived and are now getting big,” said Lee McKinstry. “That is hard to believe given all the predators in the Chattahoochee National Forest, which is adjacent to my property.”
