Hunter Waltrip, who was 12 at the time, of Locust Grove, shot this 10-point buck on Oct. 18, 2019 during blackpowder season at the Lee’s Farm in Wayne County.

Khloe Little took her very first deer on Nov. 10 while hunting in Sumter County.

Jackson Berry, 11, of Bishop, with a beautiful drake wood duck he took down on youth opening day for waterfowl. This was his first wood duck, and he was really proud of his accomplishment. It was killed on Nov. 13 on WMA property at Lake Oconee.

Dylan Jackson, 11, of Monroe, harvested this deer on Oct. 17 while hunting with his dad in Walton County.

Forrester Lunsford, 10, of Clarkesville, with an 8-point from Oglethorpe County.

Grey Farmer, 3, of Newnan, and his uncle Alex Farmer with Grey’s first bluegill, caught on Bartletts Ferry.

Landon Ratliff, 14, with a unique piebald buck from Butts County.

It was a first-deer moment for Matthew Danson, 11, of Statham. He was hunting in Morgan County with his mom Ginger and guide Brian Scarborough.

Walker Roberson, 11, with an 8-point taken in Lee County. The 215-lb. buck stepped into a green field on Oct. 23.

The Chandler grandkids wore those Morgan County turkeys out back during the spring. They are (top) Waylon, 13, Joshua (below), 8, and Tori (bottom), 6. This trio of kids is thankful for their Papa Joe for keeping them in the woods, whether it’s after turkey or deer.
