Bryce Waldrop, of Temple, wanted to spend the week he turned 13 with his Poppa, William Waldrop, at his Tift County fish pond. Here are two bass from his first day of fishing. Good choice!

What a way to spend your 12th birthday! Congrats to Hayden Roling, of Buckhead, with a Morgan County bass he caught on June 5. He was fishing with a red and black Culprit worm.

At 6 years old, Bennett Carpenter, of Canton, hooked and boated this 4.75-lb. largemouth all by himself. He was fishing a private pond in Cherokee County and using a
4-inch Senko.

Jean Wynne, 7, pictured with “Poppy” Jim Stack (right) and her dad Dodd Wynne, with a Sinclair flathead caught on a jug on Sinclair on May 26. It weighed 32 pounds.

Walkinshaw Sportsman Club in Richmond County is where this joker was killed. The hunter was Riley Collins, 12, of Martinez.

Holly Metz, 13, of Sharpsburg, submitted this picture of a bird she rolled in Turner County this spring. She said it had 1 1/2-inch spurs and an 11-inch beard.
