Letters To The Editor – March 2021

Is GON-TV Back?

Dear GON,

I saw an email blast from GON with a link to an old GON-TV episode, and it reminded me that I was interviewed on an episode of GON-TV in 2000 as a junior shooter at the GA State ATA Trap Shoot. I think it was spring or summer of 2000 but couldn’t say exactly when.

I shot my first 25 that day, and it was the first big tournament I ever won. I’ve since gone on to medal at the national and international level as a member of the U.S. National Shooting Team and Trinity University Trap and Skeet Team. In addition to my main job, I’m still a member of the Air Force Shotgun Team shooting international trap.

My son has recently started shooting and hunting, and he just got his first deer during the 2020-21 season and his first dove and duck this past fall. I know he would really enjoy seeing that old video, as would my family and parents.

Very respectfully,

Daniel Rich, Major, U.S. Air Force

Editor’s Note: Daniel we are slowly beginning to digitize and upload all of our old GON-TV episodes, which will be accessed at www.gon.com/video.

GON-TV Episode 4, May 20, 1999: Just uploaded at www.gon.com/video was “Lake Seminole Mayfly Bream With Jack Wingate.” Jack, pictured right, was filmed along with former GON Editor Brad Bailey.

Keep Fighting The Good Fight Of Wise Stewardship

Dear GON,

Mr. Seehorn’s letter regarding “Daryl Kirby on Social Media” was thought-provoking. I especially like his characterization of “tunnel vision liberal preservationists.” Using biodiversity as their mantra, they are seeking to cancel the conservation culture that has served us so well as we continue to strive toward being stewards of the wonderful creation God has provided for our WISE use.
