Suffield, CT – April 9, 2007 – The United States Young Eagles Rifle Team today announced that Savage Arms, Inc., has committed to a significant level of sponsorship for the national team for the 2007 World Championships.

In August, 20 of America’s finest young men and women shooters will travel to Canada to face team competition for the World Championship of Long Range shooting at distances from 300 to 1,000 yards.  From many different walks of life and from locations across the United States, the team must supply all of its own ammunition and rifles as well as raise the money for equipment, travel, food and accommodations.

“The future of long range is with the juniors.  Savage Arms’ donation demonstrates their commitment to the longevity of our sport,” stated team manager, J.J. Jackson.  “We cannot thank Savage Arms enough for its generous contribution to the success of our team.”

For over 100 years, Savage Arms has been manufacturing firearms with unsurpassed accuracy and outstanding performance – at an unbeatable value.  Located in Westfield, MA, Savage Arms is a privately owned company dedicated to craftsmanship and customer satisfaction.

“It brings us great pride and pleasure to support both the national team and the future of shooting sports,” noted Brian Herrick, Vice President of Marketing for Savage Arms.  “We look forward to the team returning to the United States as World Champions.”
