Hawk Flies Off With Cat

If you have a cat or small dog, you may want to keep an eye on them when they are outside doing their business. There are lots of predators around, even in populated areas where you least expect them, and not all are the four-legged variety coming from ground level.

You certainly don’t have to be in the deep woods to see encounter remarkable and unusual things in the animal kingdom.

And a warming, if you’re a cat lover, you might want to move on to the next story now…

Chandler Brown, of Forsyth County, was sitting at his work desk in populated Lawrenceville on Dec. 2  when he looked out the office window to see a large hawk sitting on top of a cat. Chandler grabbed his phone and went outside to film what was happening.

“There are some cats that hang around the area, and I think he may have gotten that one alive,” said Chandler. “He was holding it by the neck, so I assumed he suffocated it since there was no indication of an open wound. But the female (hawk) was flying above me the entire time watching everything going on, and I think there was another cat in the brush they were after.
