Last Chance For Truck-Buck, Youth Contest Scoring
The final opportunity to get a rack measured is at the GON office in Madison on Saturday, March 19.
Any buck entered in GON’s Truck-Buck Contest or Youth Big-Buck Contest must be measured during one of two scoring events to be eligible for contest prizes. The final opportunity to have a rack officially scored and eligible to compete for contest prizes is Saturday, March 19, at the GON office in Madison. Only bucks already entered through GON during the 2021-2022 deer season will be measured. The first event was last Saturday, March 12 in Tifton.
Racks can be dropped off from 9 a.m. until noon. No racks will be accepted after the noon deadline—no exceptions, please don’t try to cut it close. Mounted racks won’t be accepted for Truck-Buck scoring. All racks must be picked up at a time specified the day of the event, likely between 1 to 2 p.m. It is impossible to return racks back in any order based on when they were dropped off. Also, we absolutely cannot accommodate special circumstances like a ball game, wedding, etc. and usher a rack through more quickly. Please bring patience!
No mounted heads or racks with split skull plates can be scored. We will measure velvet racks and European skull mounts. Entrants are not required to deliver or retrieve their racks in person. However, if the person retrieving the rack is someone other than the entrant, they must show their picture ID and a letter signed by the entrant saying who is picking up the rack. Everyone picking up a rack will be asked to show photo ID.
