Lake Weiss Fishing Report – November 2018

GON Staff | October 30, 2018

Weiss: Level: 2.5 feet below full pool. Temp: Low to mid 70s. Clarity: Light stain.

Bass: Guide and tournament angler Mike Carter reports, “Weiss Lake has reached its fall patterns and have done so with some solid fishing action. Covering areas with Echo crankbaits that consist of seawalls, rip-rap and rocky stumpy points are the main ticket to create some productive fishing. These areas can also hold some solid action with some topwater lures early morning and late afternoons. The main lures for this pattern are Stutter Steps and Spooks being worked parallel and close as possible to these areas. The water level is already down over 2 feet, and there is more to come to reach the winter level. With the water level dropping consistently, the lake becomes very dangerous to navigate so your electronics will play a major roll to prevent damage to your boat.”
